YouTuber Jaiden Animations has to be an exception to this rule, as she recently got to grips with the original version of this legendary platformer for the first time. Playing simple wasn’t enough for her, so she literally played the game of the blind man. The video she shot of him became a huge hit on YouTube.

The animator has been active on the site since 2014 already and has stepped right into the heart of the YouTube community with her story videos and hand-animated drawings. For the past few years, Jaiden’s videos have been mostly about the game, but that hasn’t affected his success. She currently has 11.7 million subscribers on her channel (December 2022).

The first attempt ended in failure and after several bouts in Mario Bros. I and III, the duo gave up and finally embarked on the Nintendo classic, Super Mario World. If these titles don’t ring a bell, here’s a quick tutorial on Mario’s journey into the game’s icon. JaidenAnimations also had to narrow the goal down a bit: instead of the entire game, it should be enough to defeat the first boss of a castle.
