How to empty Gmail inbox quickly? Whether it's because our storage space is full and we want to free up space or we want to delete all our promotional emails and social media at once, there is an easy and quick way to clean and delete all emails at once.

Managing our email inbox can become an ordeal if we don't focus on it daily.

It doesn't take much time for emails to accumulate and take up storage space on our account.

Newsletters, promotional emails, special offers, and social media messages, we get a lot of them!

With over 1.8 billion users, Gmail is one of the most popular email services in the world. We suspect no one wants to pay for a Google One subscription to get extra storage space.

If this is your case, here is a simple and easy to apply tip to quickly delete all the unnecessary emails and messages polluting your inbox using a bulk action.

How to quickly empty your Gmail account using a computer?

With a computer (Mac or PC) we find the most useful tool to quickly delete many emails and messages at once in our Gmail account.

The method is simple. In the search bar at the top of the screen, we notice the settings icon on the right.

By clicking on this icon, we actually open a search filter that allows us to collect several emails and messages at once in our Gmail inbox.

You can enter a specific email address from which you want to delete messages you received.

You can specify a date range and thus, for example, select all emails dating back more than 6 months ago.

You can view the email size and thus quickly identify the heaviest emails with attachments. This is definitely the best solution to free up storage space quickly.

Finally, we have the possibility to apply a filter depending on whether the email contains a certain word in it. This is really useful for listing all your promotional emails and newsletters.

Why? Because all these emails usually contain the word: Unsubscribe or Unsubscribe. At least they should be obligated to offer the option to unsubscribe!

By typing one of these words in the field: Contains wordswe can quickly insert emails in which these words appear in the message.

Once we have created the filter of our choice, we click on the Select All option.

Then we click on the trash icon to put it in the trash.

We must then go to the Trash tab, select all the emails there and click again on the Trash icon to delete them permanently.

If you don't empty the trash manually, it will be emptied automatically after 30 days.

Therefore, it is in our best interest to empty it manually if we want to free up storage space.

It is also possible to clean your Gmail email inbox this way from an Android phone or tablet. However, you must use the Gmail app.

However, at the time of writing, one of the most interesting filters was missing, the one that allows us to sort according to whether an email contains a certain word.

So, by pressing the search bar at the top of the Gmail app, we can sort according to the email address that wrote to us, according to which emails contain an attachment, which ones we have not read or even follow a date range.
