Illegal buttock injections: Mother-daughter duo arrested

A mother-daughter duo who allegedly administered illegal buttocks injections were arrested Wednesday in Texas.

Consuelo Dal Po (56 years old) and her daughter Isabella Dal Po (18 years old) were accused of traveling across the United States to sell the buttock injection service without a license or medical qualification.

The women apparently “weren't even sure what was in” the injections, which were described as “an unidentified brown liquid,” according to a bail application written by the Harris County District Attorney's Office in Texas, according to NBC News.

Court documents revealed that the women were arrested by a police officer who posed as an agent. They planned to charge him $6,000 for the injections, NBC News reported.

They were charged with illegally practicing medicine, a minor crime. The mother and daughter were released pending a court hearing on April 10.

You should know that this type of injection can be very dangerous, and even fatal.

In 2021, the mother-daughter duo was charged with murder in California after a botched buttock injection in October 2019 led to the death of a 26-year-old woman, NBC reported. Neither the mother nor the daughter obtained any medical certificate or training to perform this type of operation.

Another woman was sentenced to five years in prison for causing the death of a dancer after illegally injecting her into the buttocks in 2021, according to American media.
