Dropped to 10, Chelsea lose again

Chelsea faced Fulham in a late game on Day 7 of the Premier League. The Blues plunged into crisis, losing 2-1 in the London derby. At the beginning of the game, the Blues entered their game well, thanks in particular to the very active Joao Felix in his first game with his new colours. However, the Portuguese showed some awkwardness in the final move and did not allow his team to take the lead during their highlight. As a result, Fulham players took advantage of this. Willian, the former Chelsea player, scored against his former team in the 25th minute, after taking advantage of Al-Shaloubah’s mistake.

Early in the second half, the Blues came back with better intentions. Kalidou Coulibaly equalized after a scramble in a corner kick by Mason Mount. Nevertheless, Chelsea felt confident. Just before the hour mark, newcomer João Félix was sent off and left his side at 10. Fulham took the opportunity to score their second goal of the match. Andreas Pereira served Carlos Vinicius, who gave Chelsea the three points. In the standings, Fulham sits sixth in the Premier League, just four points off the Champions League qualifying spots. Chelsea plunges into crisis and ranks tenth.
