For the third year in a row, the Cultural Summer, organized by Fermat Science with the help of Drac and many partners, was a great success. Under the general theme Equation of Arts and Heritage, it offers the residents of Lomagnole and tourists present in the area seven workshops bringing together young and old and six performances including a giant idea attended by a total of more than 800 people of all ages.
The morning art workshops gave young audiences the opportunity to meet professional artists thanks to a rich range of activities.
Olivier Merlin allowed them to create a short film. Anna Glasek guided them in making musical instruments from recycled items. Thanks to actor Dennis Escadavel, artistic fencing no longer holds any secrets for them. Circus arts with Trabiscot Company, Theater with actor Gilles Bonomo, poster creation with Jean-Paul Cazeau and choral and lyric singing with singers and musicians Pierre Bonnier, Camille Piassa and Garance Labé, in turn created the opportunity for great discoveries.
In the evening, during the same period, under the Beaumont Hall, performances bring together young and old under a double sign of pleasure and eclecticism: Candlelight Clarinet Concert, Murder Concert, Monsieur Molière’s Little Theater, Contemporary Dance to the Background of Baroque Music, Journey Enchanted by the opera’s exquisite arias, it was an occasion for wonderful encounters.
Finally, the only exception to the rule that transformed the hall into a giant exhibition hall for the summer, Remy Ladurie’s magic show “Le Magistorien” was held at the Les Nouveaux Bleus cinema in front of an enthusiastic audience.
Summer is now over, but the vein of discovery does not run dry because during the Heritage Days, the public will be able to measure themselves, thanks to María Isabel Carona, with the technique of making azulejos, this ceramic art that combines geometric patterns with pictorial representations.
