On the eve of hosting Newcastle, Portuguese international midfielder Vitinha remained optimistic about Paris’s chances of qualifying for the round of 16 next Tuesday.

Vitinha, the 23-year-old Portuguese international player, who scored a goal against Monaco last Friday (5-2 win), warned Monday in a press conference: “We know it’s possible to qualify tomorrow, but we’re just focused on the game. The only way to qualify is to win. We will focus on what the coach asks of us. We will have a great match to be good in the group (…) The first leg was difficult with a bad result, and we know that the match awaiting us tomorrow will be difficult. But we always want to win. We will definitely perform tomorrow and win, that is the most important thing.»
