Cycling. Plein air Sutton is looking for funding for its Fatbike project. He is reaching out to the community by holding a fundraiser via the La Ruche platform.

Plein air Sutton wants to raise $22,900. The amount raised will help finance the construction of the new trails, signage and mapping, and the purchase of electrical grooming tools from MTT Technologie of Quebec.

The campaign continues until mid-April.

“Our network of trails has a lot to offer, both in summer and winter! We point out in a press release. Under the snow, the mountain bike trails that we love so much, such as Chasseur or Grande Séduction, provide an extraordinary experience. Obviously the excitement of jumps, modules and hurdles remains intact, but “The snow makes the descent smoother, quieter, smoother and almost gracious. With this new project, we want to offer our large community a complete and immersive snow biking experience in the mountain region and add a great winter sports activity that complements those in the region.”

The Ministry of Tourism will also participate in this project through the Afaq Fund when the goal is achieved. It will donate 50% of the donations received, up to a maximum of $11,450.

This year, a 15-kilometre network of trails in the mountain forests is offered to winter cycling enthusiasts.

This network was created following a pilot project.

As of Monday, the Fatbike Project had raised $10,890, just under half its goal.
