Korea, Portugal, Moldova and Rwanda: Introducing the four new ambassadors in Monaco

During a luncheon organized at the Hermitage Hotel, the new Korean ambassadors from Portugal, Moldova and Rwanda were received by Marie-Catherine Caruso Raviera, Representative of the Government Counsellor, Minister of Foreign Relations and Cooperation, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, at a luncheon organized at the Hermitage Hotel. They presented their letters of credence to Prince Albert II.

  • Jae Cheol Choi He joined the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981. In 1999, he became Director of the Environmental Cooperation Division of the Office of International Economic Affairs and then Director-General of the same office. He was also Korea’s ambassador to Morocco and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
  • Jose Augusto de Jesus Duarte He was Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and then Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa Region in the General Directorate of Foreign Policy. He was appointed Ambassador of Portugal to Mozambique from 2013 to 2016. After becoming an advisor to the President of the Republic, he was appointed Ambassador to China and then to France.
  • Corinna Calugaru She was Advisor to the Permanent Representation of Moldova to the United Nations Office, then Director of the Directorate for Global Affairs and Human Rights, before being appointed Ambassador to the Council of Europe in 2015. Since 2022, she has been Ambassador to France.
  • François Nkulikiemvura He has more than 25 years of experience, including 18 years in development economics and development finance program management, gained while working at the Rwanda Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the African Development Bank. He is currently Ambassador to France, Spain, Italy, Monaco and Portugal, and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, the International Organization of La Francophonie and the OECD in particular.
