Antonio Nobre, a Portuguese referee, blows a whistle for LOSC – Klaksvik

This Thursday (9pm), the LOSC players host the Faroe Islands from Klaksvik. The match will be refereed by Portuguese referee Antonio Nobre.

After a perfect week at all levels and three successes in all competitions, the Mastiffs faltered somewhat in Clermont (0-0), but they must quickly refocus towards their next target: Europe. This Thursday (9pm), for day six of the Europa Conference League, LOSC welcomes Faroe Islands side Klaaksvik. During the first stage away from home, the Lille team showed its inability to score (0-0). This meeting will be led by Antonio Nobre, appointed by UEFA for the occasion. The Portuguese will be accompanied by a team made up entirely of his compatriots, with Paulo Bras and Pedro Martinez on the touchlines, and Helder Felipe as the fourth official. Hugo Miguel and Bruno Esteves will be in charge of the video refereeing.

Antonio Nobre is 35 years old and has officiated 15 matches in all competitions since the start of the season with a total of 79 cards dealt. He notably led 2 opponents in the group stage of European competitions or 6 in the Portuguese League. During the previous financial year, from 2022 to 2023, he was at the helm of 42 different matches, more than a quarter of which were in the Portuguese Championship, but also several at international level (Euro and Nations League). Surprisingly, he also traveled to Greece for a Premier League 1 match.
