The Computer Science subject table uses the same reliable and rigorous performance indicators as Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024, but the methodology has been recalibrated to follow the discipline.
This year’s schedule includes 1,027 universities, compared to 974 universities last year.

The University of Oxford tops the computer science rankings for the sixth year in a row. Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) switched places to take second and third place, respectively.
Imperial College London in the United Kingdom and Princeton University in the United States moved into the top ten at eighth and ninth places, respectively. The National University of Singapore and the Technical University of Munich in Germany fall into this elite group.
China, Germany and Australia each have seven universities in the top 100. The highest ranked among these universities is Tsinghua University in China, in twelfth place.
