Microsoft confirms several issues with the Windows 10 cumulative update KB5018410. It is for all Windows 10 PC 20H2, 21H1 or 21H2.
Published as part of Patch Tuesday (October 2022), it closed a total of 64 vulnerabilities, 9 of which are critical. These affect Hyper-V (CVE-2022-37979), the Microsoft Cryptographic API (CVE-2022-34689) and PPTP aka Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (CVE-2022-22035, CVE-2022- 30198, CVE-2022-33634, CVE-2022-24504, CVE-2022-41081, CVE-2022-38000, CVE-2022-38047.)
Installing it upgrades the operating system to build 19042.2130, 19043.2130, and 19044.2130. These numbers are a way to make sure that all is well. You can find it by running winver.exe in Run (WIN + R). Unfortunately, not everything goes as planned. Microsoft reports that errors can appear over weeks, ranging from problems displaying certain items to computer instability.

In detail, the giant mentions flashing problems with Weather or Widgets concerns and in the worst case, Windows Explorer or the taskbar may stop responding. It is also possible for applications such as Word or Excel to stop responding if they were open when the problem occurred.
A simple restart of the computer can resolve the situation but nothing is certain. The good news is that Microsoft has to find a solution through the known issues rollback system. So users have nothing to do at this time. the company explains
This problem has been resolved by using a known issue rollback (KIR). KIRs are applied to most consumer (home) and unmanaged devices without the need for manual action. Please note that resolution may take up to 24 hours to automatically post to these devices. Restarting your Windows device may help the resolution apply faster.
