The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, New York, was named the nation's best science museum in USA Today's Top 10 Readers' Choice Awards for 2024. The nonprofit, dedicated to deepening people's connection to nature and the Adirondack Mountains, beat out major city museums like the Michigan Science Center in Detroit, The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, and the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland. “Nominees for the honor were selected by a panel of travel experts and voted on by readers online.
