The head of La Poste discovers the real economy

Never despair! Christian Lefrat, former leader of the Swiss Socialist Party from 2009 to 2020, and president-elect of La Poste in 2021, seems to recognize and even accept the harsh economic realities. He recently explained that many core activities (messages and payments at counters) have been in decline for years, forcing us to consider layoffs. Isn’t this exactly the case for all companies that fire their employees? Why didn’t he understand this sooner instead of escalating for twenty years at the slightest reduction in the workforce, accusing employers of committing the crime of work injury? He also protested that they are laying people off despite their profits, but didn’t La Poste make a profit of 295 million in 2022?
