TAP Portugal is planning a strong push towards Brazil for the summer of 2024

The Portuguese company TAP Portugal has already announced the main new features of the Summer 2024 programme, which will mainly be characterized by a marked boost in contacts with Brazil from Lisbon.

Rio and Recife are ahead

In total, the Brazil schedule will gain eleven weekly frequencies, bringing the total to 91 weekly frequencies over the summer period. Recife will thus gain three weekly frequencies (10 instead of 7) and Rio will increase from 10 to 12 weekly cycles. Sao Paulo, Belem, Brasilia, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre and Salvador de Bahia will also benefit from additional frequency to and from Portugal.

The Portuguese airline will also increase its flight schedule to Maputo (Mozambique), by 4 weekly flights instead of the current 3 flights. In North America, Toronto will increase to 13 times a week and San Francisco to six times a week during the height of summer. In Europe, Rome will benefit from a fifth daily flight. Florence will increase from 8 to 10 weekly frequencies.

Air transport service between Paris and Lisbon

Finally, note that TAP Portugal has established an air transport service (“Ponte Aerea” in Portuguese) between Paris and Lisbon, including check-in 45 minutes before flight departure and “fast track” (fast boarding) in Paris and Lisbon (excluding fares promotions, passenger reservations and group reservations), in addition to the ability to change tickets for free on the same day on a previous flight.
