Breakfast for busy students

Shani Bataillon knows that student life is not easy. However, she doesn't encourage eating breakfast on the go: “Rushing is not at all good for digestion,” she explains. However, it is always advisable to eat quickly rather than not at all if there is a desire. “The quickest thing to make for those who prefer something sweet is toast with a little vegetable or non-vegetarian butter and jam,” advises Shani. Fruit is also recommended when talking about a quick breakfast: “Preparing a bowl of fruit is not bad. Chopping the fruit does not take much time and you can even turn it into juice and take it with you. “It is much more practical,” advises the specialist.

For those with a salty tooth, the dietitian recommends “an omelet or scrambled eggs with ham and a slice of bread that provides carbohydrates and good fats” or “avocado toast for those who don’t eat meat.” “For those with gluten intolerance, bread can vary: 'Corn, rye or spelled bread is ideal,'” she adds. These breakfast ideas are still delicious and inexpensive, according to Shani Bataillon.

Good breakfast, good day?

When students feel hungry, it is recommended to eat a healthy and balanced breakfast. “The first food for cells is glucose (sugar, editor's note). Therefore, it must be present in breakfast,” she explains. Eating well in the morning promotes positivity, the ability to concentrate, learn and energy. All of this gives confidence to the student, according to Shani Battalion.

For those in a hurry, “Take something with you if you're hungry. It can be anything: a banana, a clementine, a can of ham or rusks, it does the trick!” You should be comfortable when you go to class and while learning. “To be productive, you have to meet nutritional needs every day,” she adds. If the student does not eat his portion in the morning, replacing it with a hearty snack is the solution.
