They put the cover back on! The grumpy grandparents camped by Thierry Lermitt and Michel Larroque are back in Happy Retirement 2. In theaters July 20.
It’s been three years since Marilou and Philip’s last adventures in happy retirement. In this second part, the couple decides to introduce their grandchildren to their new vacation home in Portugal.
But once they get there, they discover the horror that the house is still under construction! This is only the beginning of the galleys for the grandparents because soon…they’re losing babies. They only have two days left to find them, before their parents join them.
The first episode was released in November 2019, and it actually reunited Michelle Larroque and Terry Lermitt as the earthy retirees. The latter, who thought he had finally enjoyed a well-deserved rest, would once again have trouble with his strange family.
The success was this cheerful family comedy, which gathered 1.3 million spectators. This sequel is still produced by Fabrice Braque, who is the author of the first work.
Co-written by director Guillaume Clicut, based on the novel black pepper and salt by Guillaume Cliquot published by Fleuve Editions.
Happy Retirement 2 will be released in theaters on July 20, 2022.
