Cristiano Ronaldo sent Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior a surprise gift after Portugal’s victory over Liechtenstein.
The Brazilian forward has always admired Ronaldo and even expressed his regret at not getting the chance to play alongside the Portuguese at Real Madrid. Over the years, the two great strikers have developed a very strong bond of friendship. Today Ronaldo sent the Portugal vs Liechtenstein match shirt to the current Real Madrid number 7.
Ronaldo’s gesture comes after Vinicius imitated the famous ‘Calma’ celebration, which the Portuguese made famous during his visit to the Spanish capital, after scoring against Valencia in a 5-1 win over Real Madrid on November 12. Bernabeu fans were delighted to see Vinicius relive their legend’s famous celebration and chanted “Vinicius Junior, lolo!”. » to salute their young striker.
Vinicius has a special place in his home, which he calls the “Wall of Icons”, where some of the greatest legendary athletes of all time are celebrated. This is a special mural, painted by Spanish artist Rene Makela, and Ronaldo is one of the athletes featured on the wall alongside Brazilian icons Pele and Ronaldo Nazario.
Vinicius is currently suffering from a muscle injury, and missed Real Madrid’s match against Cadiz in the Spanish League. As for Ronaldo, he will return against Persepolis in the AFC Champions League.
