A 16-year-old girl was beaten, raped and held under a trap

A North Carolina teen was beaten, repeatedly raped and held under a trap door for weeks by a Kentucky man who initially lured her by pretending to be a 19-year-old girl.

According to several American media reports, citing police documents, the 16-year-old girl, who lives in Fayetteville, has been missing since December 6.

The accused, Zachary Jones, 34, allegedly started an online conversation with the teen by posing as a 19-year-old. One thing led to another, the man lured the young woman and finally went to pick her up from her home to bring her to his.

The teen told authorities that the man admitted to lying about her age when he picked her up, but discovered he was only 34 when he arrived at his home, where he introduced her to his family, without threatening her with retaliation if she did so. He didn't pretend to be 18 years old.

She was found thanks to her kidnapper's mother

Over the next few weeks, the man drugged the girl and locked her under a door hidden behind a rug in the bedroom. During this hellish period, the young woman was beaten, raped, and threatened with death, among other things.

Zachary Jones also admitted to investigators that he raped his victim at least ten times and admitted that he paralyzed her.

Ultimately, it was the kidnapper's mother who saved the teen by calling the police to report that her son had gotten into a fight with his “girlfriend.”

All these allegations made by the authorities have yet to be proven in court. Meanwhile, he remains in the Pulaski County Jail.
