In particular we see police officer Cory Galloway shoot in the suspect’s direction, then yell “I think he’s dead” before approaching him and heading inside the bank, the scene of the shooting, to make sure there is no further danger.

The body cam video of another police officer involved in the intervention, Nicholas Wilt, was also announced.

Louisville police also shared a video taken by a bystander that shows the police intervention from another angle as well as photos of the attacker before the police arrived.

Commander Paul Humphrey, in a press conference, praised the work of Constable Wilt.

“You’ll see that he never wavered, even after he was shot,” he explains. This young man went back to the front lines to protect others, and you will see that his decisions ultimately resulted in protecting the lives of others.”

The shooter waited for the police to arrive before attacking him.

“He could see outside when no one else could see inside,” Humphrey said.

On April 10, shooter Connor Stegon killed five people and wounded eight others when he opened fire at the bank where he worked.
