The Belgian and Portuguese foreign ministers visit Tunisia

Belgian Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade and Cultural Institutions Hadj Lahbib and Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho will visit Tunisia on behalf of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs. Security Affairs and Policy and the Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, on 9 and 10 May.

Tunisia is a close neighbor and long-term partner of the European Union. The European Union is closely following developments in the country, including the latest developments. During their visit, the ministers will recall the importance of the partnership with Tunisia and the EU’s desire to continue supporting the Tunisian people. The ministers will meet with the Tunisian authorities to discuss the situation in the country and relations with the European Union within the framework of the Association Agreement between Tunisia and the European Union.
