Science question. Is the computer smarter than Einstein?

The computational capabilities of computers are enormous. If every person on Earth were able to perform a simple arithmetic operation, such as addition, it would take more than a year and a half for all of humanity to be able to perform as many calculations as supercomputers do in one second.

Thus computers are much stronger than humans at performing calculations but not at the rest… Computers only follow instructions developed by computer developers in order to achieve a specific goal. These are called algorithms.

Perfect robot?

By analogy with the kitchen, a computer is nothing but a cooking robot that follows a cooking recipe, i.e. an algorithm. The result is always perfect because the robot applies the recipe perfectly. But who can imagine the recipe? Who tests it? Improve it? An intelligent person is the one who finds solutions to the problems that confront him, and he is the one who innovates and imagines.

Albert Einstein, an iconic scientific figure for his fundamental discoveries in physics, cannot be replaced by a computer, no matter how powerful. It was Einstein who advanced knowledge by inventing new theories, not the computer.
