“We are evacuating a large number of villages, and we are now planning to evacuate about 9,000 children due to the bombing of the Ukrainian armed forces,” Vyacheslav Gladkov said at a meeting of President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party.

He also noted that in one week, 16 people were killed and 98 others were injured in the area, which has been the target of increasing attacks since March 12.

Military units claiming to be composed of anti-Putin Russians fighting for Kiev increased their ground and air attacks during the Russian presidential election, which the Kremlin master, not surprisingly, won by a record result, in the absence of any opposition.

The governor also welcomed the Russian President's obtaining about 90% of the votes in his region.

He said, according to what was reported by the United Russia Party: “I am proud that the residents of the region did not surrender despite the difficult situation.”

Russia has been bombing Ukraine daily since the start of its attack on February 24, 2022. It also occupies and claims nearly 20% of Ukrainian territory, while denouncing the fact that attacks may target it on its territory.
