The Portuguese technician, who has been working at Palmeiras since 2020, has built up an impressive reputation in South America, as he led Verdão to back-to-back Copa Libertadores wins in 2020 and 2021.
Ferreira’s impressive performances naturally attracted the interest of many European clubs. He has been mentioned in particular as a potential successor to Fernando Santos at the helm of the Portugal national team and has recently been linked with OGC Nice. However, in response to the rumors, Ferreira has so far expressed his desire to continue his adventure in Brazil.
