DNEG has acquired an exclusive license to Ziva Technologies from Unity

We are excited to announce that DNEG has acquired the exclusive license to Ziva from Unity!

Ziva is a pioneering toolset for creating digital characters and creatures that has become standard software for visual effects, animation, and gaming companies. As part of the deal, DNEG will also acquire a significant portion of the Ziva team.

Featuring advanced simulation and real-time character creation features, aided by machine learning (Machine learning), Ziva enables artists to create increasingly accurate and scalable digital characters with greater efficiency and control.

Our VFX and animation teams have used Ziva on a number of previous projects, helping us deliver compelling representations of digital characters in films and episodic content such as Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Fast x, Poison And Poison: There must be no carnage, The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, MiG 2: TrenchAnd Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,,And also for our upcoming joint productions Animal friends And Garfield movie!

This investment in and future development of the Ziva toolset will strengthen our creature product line, helping our artists create engaging digital characters and creatures for all of our projects.

This technology will also support our new DNEG IXP division, enabling the creation of real-time interactive digital humans and creatures for upcoming projects in gaming, virtual concerts and theme park attractions, as well as new generation headsets such as the Apple Vision Pro. .
