Agence France-Presse launches a new online course to combat disinformation during elections

In 2024, more than two billion people are expected to cast ballots in more than 50 elections around the world, including in the United States, India, Mexico and the European Union.

He added: “This new online course offered by Agence France-Presse will help journalists prepare for this year, which is expected to be particularly difficult due to the numerous elections around the world and the massive spread of misinformation on platforms and search engines.”

AFP will unveil this new program in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese during tomorrow’s international media festival Médias en Seine in Paris.

This new training is the twelfth online course organized by AFP’s digital investigative team, the largest in the world, consisting of more than 140 journalists working in 26 languages.
