Robert Kennedy Jr. is the son of former Democratic Attorney General and presidential candidate Robert Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968, but also the nephew of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, who was murdered five years earlier.

“I am announcing my candidacy for the Democratic nomination,” the feud, whose chances of success are limited, let out to his supporters in Boston.

A lawyer specializing in environmental issues, he has been known since 2005 for spreading conspiracy theories about vaccines, especially linking autism to one of their components.

In rallying for his ad, several of his activists donned anti-vaccine caps.

During this rally, which was organized in Massachusetts, he pledged to “end the divisions” gnawing at the United States, by finally telling “the truth to the American people.”

Robert Kennedy Jr. is one of the few candidates who officially joined the Democratic camp, which has been frozen in anticipation of President Joe Biden’s decision.

At 80, the White House tenant claims he has “intentions” to run for a second term, but has yet to formalize his entry on the campaign trail.
