The Head of State held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal

The visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal to our country is part of the reopening of the Embassy of Portugal in Côte d’Ivoire as well

Enhancing the excellent relations of cooperation between the two countries.

The head of Portuguese diplomacy discussed with the head of state the social, political and security situation in the West African sub-region as well as

Cote d’Ivoire Economic Forecasts.

In this regard, Minister João Gomez Cravino stressed the role that Portugal can play in relations between the subregion and the European Union as well as in

Promote economic growth and development in Côte d’Ivoire.

He also praised Côte d’Ivoire’s economic performance in recent years and the growing interest of Portuguese companies in it

investments in our country.

Finally, the Portuguese Foreign Minister welcomed the reopening of the Portuguese Embassy in Abidjan, which reflects the excellent relations

and mutual trust between the two countries.
