A delegation from the Vocational High School Lautriamont has arrived in Brazil, more specifically in Salvador de Bahia, to prepare a collaborative project on gastronomy and vocational education with Sénac.
Remember that the institution is the only vocational high school in France with a European Portuguese department. This very ambitious project aims to enhance the terrain of the two regions, Salvador de Bahia and Hautes Pyrenees through short circuits, gastronomy and tourism as well as commercial exchange. Principal Ana María Selma Bernoz and Portuguese teacher Ms. Silva Cristina traveled to Salvador de Bahía to meet with the executives, teachers and students of the Sénac de Salvador de Bahía to cement the first exchanges made by videoconference aimed at reaching a partnership agreement. Students of the Portuguese European Section will be able to go to Brazil within a year to complete their internship in a professional environment. Lautréamont High School will also welcome Brazilian students. Teachers from both countries will also be able to meet to share knowledge and educational and culinary innovations. The goal is also to co-write a book of Franco-Brazilian recipes in both languages to promote their respective territories, from ground to plate.
The Lycée International Lautréamont delegation was able to meet the top executives of Sénac as well as the President of CCI in Salvador de Bahia, the President of the Chamber of Agriculture, the Director of the Alliance Française, the President of the Rotary Club of Salvador, and officials in the Town Hall. So excited, they all offered their support for this collaborative project. A delegation from Sénac de Salvador de Bahía is expected to arrive in Tarbes in September for the second phase of the project and to discover our department.
