Okang. The Portuguese Society supports Raphael Lorraine

Okang. The Portuguese Society supports Raphael Lorraine

Raphael Lorraine fulfills the dreams of sick children pursued at CHU de Brabois. The Portuguese wanted Lorraine to thank “Raphael Lorraine” for fulfilling the dream of one of their young members, Tiago, who suffers from leukemia, last December: to meet Father Christmas in Lapland. Françoise Guidi, a volunteer with Raphael Lorraine, introduced the association dedicated to supporting sick children and detailed the actions it carries out. Tiago’s parents, who were present, thanked all the members of the association who took part in this meal and made it a success.

On this occasion, the volunteers cooked and served a meal to more than 80 people with “bollinhos de bacalhau”, “canga de gallina”, “bacalhau primavera” or rump steak and “pollo de pulacha” or “podim casero”. The chefs have worked hard to create these very popular dishes!

The proceeds were donated to charity

The proceeds from the raffle and the sale of the entire Portuguese stew were donated to the association. José de Mora, the president and his deputy, Orlando Galano, presented Françoise Guidi with a check for 500 euros. At the end of this beautiful, emotional day, the volunteers and members were warmly thanked for their generosity!
