Portuguese midfielder Fabio Carvalho was loaned to RB Leipzig on June 30 and could return to Liverpool in January.
Indeed, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed today on his account that the Reds are not satisfied with the treatment assigned to their 21-year-old player in Germany. And for good reason, the international hopeful has played just 257 minutes of action in total since his departure, not enough in the eyes of Jurgen Klopp and his captaincy to hope for a diamond in the rough. Discussions that could push the current fourth place in the Bundesliga to start Torres Vydra’s compatriot this evening against Young Boys from Bern.
As a reminder, Carvalho revealed himself in the tournament while playing at Fulham, with whom he played no less than 38 matches, scoring 11 goals and making 8 assists in the 2021-2022 season when he was only 19 years old. Since then, he has signed with the Reds, where he made 21 appearances (including 13 in the league) last year, until he was loaned out during the last summer transfer window.
