A fire broke out in a building of the Ministry of Defense in the Belgorod region, near the border with Ukraine, according to its governor, injuring one person.

“On the borders of three municipalities – the Borisov and Belgorod regions and the Yakovlevsky metropolitan area – a fire broke out in the area of one of the targets of the Ministry of Defense, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
A little later, it was announced that someone had sustained minor injuries, ensuring that emergency services were operating immediately.
Earlier in the day, the governor of another border region, the Kursk region, for his part indicated on Telegram that at the end of the morning, part of a railway used for bridge-level freight collapsed, without casualties.
“It was sabotage, a criminal case was opened. The authorities in charge of the investigation promised the experts of the police force to solve the problem, and promised Governor Roman Starovit, without naming the Ukrainian forces, and promised additional details later.
Russia has repeatedly accused Ukrainian forces of launching strikes on Russian territory in areas close to the border with Ukraine.
