Community. At the dawn of its 30th anniversary, Souper du Partage has reached the milestone of reaching nearly $2 million in donations and sponsorships thanks to its annual spaghetti meal.

Since 1995, 7,500 Christmas baskets filled with food have been distributed thanks to the generosity of the community.

The organization intends to increase assistance to vulnerable families at the end of its next fundraising activity, which will be held at La Roche High School on November 4.

In addition to enjoying a plate of spaghetti with the sauce that made it famous, guests will be able to see and hear Silk & Stone. This musical group recently performed at the Gala Reconnaissance Estrie and at Centrexpo Cogeco in Drummondville. These six musicians will perform “Top 40 hits” from the 1970s to today, from the Beatles to Taylor Swift.

The 29th edition of Souper du Partage, presented by Provigo Michel Frigon, aims to design and distribute around 400 Christmas baskets on December 17. Last year, 869 people benefited from this food aid, including 192 children.

Businesses, organizations and individuals can contribute in different ways, as key partners, by sponsoring a family or purchasing tickets. Each meal costs $16 or $7 for ages 5-11.

Spaghetti sauce is also on sale through the organization’s online store. The deadline to apply is October 29 or while supplies last. A 1.5 liter container retails for $15.
