The Beginning: To understand the buying frenzy of the past few weeks, we have to go back to June 5th. Then Mohammed bin Salman announced its investment plan Sportsman with soccer as a priority. As part of this plan, giant sovereign wealth fund PIF (Public Investment Fund) has bought a 75% majority stake in four historically significant clubs, with ASBL owning the remaining 25%.
