Saint-Gobain sells its glass processing business in Portugal

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) – Building materials producer Saint-Gobain announced Monday that it has signed an agreement to sell its glass processing business in Portugal, Covipor, to PNI Portugal & Permanente SA. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“The completion of the transaction is subject to a license from the Portuguese Competition Authority and is expected to take place during the third quarter of 2023,” Saint-Gobain said in a press release.

“Covipor generated sales of around €20 million in 2022 and employs around 100 employees at its two sites in the Porto area,” the group said.
