documentary film. “Au Hollow” (2022) Directed by: Alice Gauthier, with Ballet du Lorraine dancers, Anne Lenglet, David Marquez, Loïc Touzet. “Au Hollow” is a translation of the Portuguese word “No Oco,” the title of Loic Touzet’s choreographic piece. It is also key to reading the project: narrating the work through the creation of another work, a form freed from its context but dependent on it to generate an edge, a passage, and an interiority. The film stems from the creation of this choreographic piece produced with 23 dancers from the Ballet de Lorraine between 2019 and 2020. “Au Hollow” captures this experience by concealing its features, to navigate a world where the imagination of the piece and the process of work participate in a new imaginary story.
