Full of energy, commitment and determination, the youth of Africa and France have often contributed to great progress in promoting rights, freedoms, and new economic and political paradigms.
With this in mind, the Franco-African Foundation launched the Young Leaders Program in 2019 in order to promote Franco-African dialogue by supporting and bringing together generations of talented and committed young people.
In 2023, the theme for the third edition of the program will be “Unleash the Energies!”. A persistently positive and forward-looking theme to build a common future together. For each edition, an African country is in the spotlight. Rwanda will be this year.
From February 16 to March 17, 2023, the Franco-African Foundation invites young people who are involved in unleashing the creative energies of their countries to join the Young Leaders Program by applying for this unique initiative!

If you are ready to commit to and spread your energy, then you are probably one of the future “young leaders”.
Young executives, business founders, committed representatives to your community or civil society, politicians and diplomats, athletes and artists, writers, journalists… All talents are invited to become Young Leaders!
You are between the ages of 28 and 40 and you hold French nationality or are from an African country: our Young Leaders Program is the program for you.
We will select the most promising profiles who have shown their positive leadership, professional qualities and who have a vision for the future of the relationship between Africa and France. Fluency in English is required, fluency in French is concrete but not compulsory.
Our thirty young leaders will have the opportunity to follow a high-level training programme, aimed at honing their decision-making skills, building an unrivaled Franco-African network, perfecting their skills and opening themselves up to other horizons. They will participate in different workshops as well as workshops, visits and conferences. They will meet inspiring French-African and international personalities from the economic, political, interconnected, cultural and sporting spheres…
Under the dual patronage of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, the new promotion of young leaders will participate in a session in France in June 2023 and a session in Rwanda in the fall. .2023.
