“We are hiring: non-stupid people wanted”

A pizzeria in Ohio, USA, has sparked strong reactions on social media because of a poster that says it hires “non-stupid people”.

Although some people found the whole thing comical, not everyone agreed so much that one person placed a mock $100 order at Santino’s pizzeria in southwest Columbus.

“Oh! I laughed. I laughed, but I understand […] I understand where they’re coming from because you want someone working here who understands taking or delivering orders,” Natasha Fox, a customer at the restaurant, told local news channel WSYX.

Despite everything, the owners of the restaurant have received many positive comments on social networks. In fact, many people found the whole thing comical.

“It’s more of a joke than anything else. It wasn’t targeting anyone or being rude,” said Jayden Donegan, the owner’s daughter.

After working in the family restaurant for years, the latter points out that many of the people he hires don’t really want to work. It was with the aim of denouncing the immorality of these people that this famous proclamation was made.

The young woman added that the controversial poster was also installed for two months, adding that it attracted more customers to come and taste their pizza.
