UEFA Champions League: Karim Benzema and Real Madrid stun Paris Saint-Germain – rts.ch

Real Madrid came out of nowhere to reach the Champions League quarter-finals. They beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 after losing 1-0 in the first leg at Parc des Princes.

This success, which for a long time seemed unexpected, bears the seal of Karim Benzema. The French striker on his own, during his 500-year career with Merengue, signed an anthology hat-trick (61/76/78) which put the k-.o. French champions.

However, they thought they did the hardest part by opening the scoring through Mbappe in the 39th minute, after a deep pass from Neymar. Already the goal scorer in the first leg, No. 7 of Paris Saint-Germain cited the white defense for his speed. But this was not enough in the end.

Fatal error

The Parisians drowned after a fatal error from Donnarumma at 1-1. This happy success completely changed the face of the game and revived the people of Madrid. And perhaps, for the Parisians, the memory of the comeback against Barcelona on March 8, 2017 has come back to haunt people’s minds…

Karamba, failed again, one might say! Despite the huge investments that have been made for years, so this time it is not yet time for Paris Saint-Germain to put their name on the Champions League list.
