This is the “most welcoming” region in France

In January, the booking platform unveiled the Traveler Review Awards, rewarding service providers and organizations with the highest ratings by their users, in more than 200 countries.

France, with 89,186 winning partners, is the third most rewarded country after Italy (162,272 rewarded institutions) and Spain (93,130 rewarded institutions).

These awards then allowed the travel site to create a ranking of the country’s most welcoming cities and regions. And for the third year in a row, Alsace finds itself at the top of this summit. Followed by Hauts-de-France and Burgundy.

Alsatian cities hold this tenth rank as well. Thus, Riquewihr is the city in France where the welcome was the best. Ribeauville is second on the podium, while Colmar and Equichem find themselves in ninth and tenth positions, respectively.

In all countries, Matera, located in southern Italy, has been called the most welcoming city. It is ahead of Bled (Slovenia), Taitung (Taiwan), Nobleia (Greece), Toledo (Spain), Monte Verde (Brazil), Bruges (Belgium), Nusa Lembongan (Indonesia), Ponta Delgada (Azores, Portugal) and Hue. Ann (Vietnam).
