The two non-profit organizations announced in a press release on Thursday that the 21st edition of the Brussels Querified Film Festival Pink Screens, organized by Genres d’à Côté, will take place at Cinema Nova from November 10-19. This festival will present over a hundred diverse films, fiction and documentaries, but share a reflection of the standards, blind spots, and diversity of LGBTQIA+.
The business submitted will come from all over the world. In particular we will find in the poster “Te llevo conmigo” that will take us from Mexico to the US border with people looking for a better life. The movie “Hot my god” will provoke the hypocrisy of the clergy in eastern countries. During the Pink Screens, Portuguese filmmaker João Pedro Rodrigues will be honored in a retrospective, while Fassbender’s “Querelle” will be broadcast exceptionally on the occasion of his 40th anniversary. For complete timelines, there will be nine short film sessions to discover. The Pink Screens will also present an exhibition in Bar Nova and in the Cellars of Cinema Galeries. This will highlight artists working around the topic of gender and gender identity.
Several cinemas in Brussels will participate in this festival, including Nova, The Palace, The Adventure, Beursschouwburg and Galleries. Information on tickets and programming is available at www.pinkscreens.org (Belga / Belga)
