The FR Maurin skiers continue their great season

Over the Easter weekend, skiers from the rural Foire region of Maurienne participated in a selective competition for the European Championship and the French Championship. The three participating Mauritian teams won a podium.

The first quartet shone around the theme “Desert Horned Serpent” and finished first in its class by a wide margin over the other 13 teams in the competition. On the theme of “Wolves”, Big Show finished in second place, with two waterfalls costing them first place. The Junior Snowboard Show on the theme “Ulysses and the Sirens”, took 3rd place at the end of a tightly contested competition.

Three teams, three podiums

The group misses only the second place. Great success and big reward for their coaches Lauri Vidal and Stephanie Salamoni, who will take the juniors to the French Championship and the two senior teams to the European Championship in Portugal at the second weekend of May.

The skating section is still a long end of season competition with 21 national singles skaters and 15 regional singles skaters, and then everyone gets ready for the season-ending show on Saturday, June 24th at 8 p.m., at Lattes Sports Hall.

Young people in France and old people in Europe

The division’s 68 skaters, ages 4 to 26, will perform in their groups ranging from junior skaters to 27 skaters from the ski school. In addition to the performances achieved, their coach Lori takes the satisfaction of coaching the young coaches, Millie, Victoria, Juliet, Miley and Safia, and the joy of mentoring 18 national contestants and bobsledders, with the help of Stephanie and Morgan.
