At the end of his contract with Portuguese club Sporting Club, Zuhair Fadal is supposed to return to Spain during the summer transfer window. The Portuguese club will not keep the Moroccan.

The Moroccan center back is in the crosshairs of several Spanish teams including UD Almería, third in the Spanish second division championship, according to information from the Portuguese media registry.

Fadal’s many physical problems made him persona non grata and did not fit in with his coach Robin Amorim’s plans. The latter has informed his leaders that he does not wish to extend it, while his contract expires on June 30, 2022.

League Cup and League 2 and Super Cup

Coming from Real Betis in 2020, he played 50 matches in all competitions with the Portuguese club, scored two goals and lifted the Portuguese championship in 2021, the League Cup twice (2021 and 2022) and the Portuguese Super Cup (2021).

Note that Sporting Lisbon (2nd place, 67 points) is FC Porto’s runners-up (1st place, 73 points) in the Portuguese League this season.
