SPM Océan’s new fleet brings hope with new fishing impetus in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon

The Portuguese boat, which arrived at the pier at Saint-Pierre this weekend, offloaded its 75-tonne cargo on Wednesday. An event for local hunting, which we owe a new armament. SPM Océan intends to breathe new life into it.

On-board NoosaThere is a sailor who knows the archipelago. Cédric Revert is from Saint-Pierrais and was appointed as a porter by SPM Océan, a new company created a few months ago by three locals, which outfitted the Portuguese ship.

The shipowners’ roadmap is simple: to catch the last kilograms of the 80-ton swordfish quota that the European Union has allocated to the archipelago. Thus, this week’s drop may be the first in a long streak.
