This ambitious project brings together all the operations inherent in the independent ports of Kribi and Douala. Thus, as an inland terminal that serves as a staging point for goods, it must include commercial, industrial and logistic areas. Service and technological activities are also planned, as are agricultural poles and technopolis.

As a result and according to the details provided by Technoedif Group President Engenharia Portugal, the Ngoumou Dry Port will include: a storage area and customs clearance areas; Hypermarket, logistics center, cold warehouse, marketing center for basic necessities and one-stop shop for foreign trade operations.

Achieving this infrastructure holds many economic stakes, both for the region it harbors, for the center region, and for the whole country. It is called to be a driving force for the improvement of trade between the ports of Kribi and Douala, in the central region, in particular the Douala-Yaoundé-N’Djamena corridor or the Kribi-Douala-N’Djamena corridor. For this, the head of the center’s regional council expressed his desire to start technical and financial feasibility studies as soon as possible.
