Quint Fonsegraves. Friendship Day between France and Portugal

We announced it in our version on Thursday, September 22nd, a Franco/Portuguese Day event on Sunday 25th, organized by the Quint Fonsegraves Twinning Association, chaired by Elie dos Santos. As there is a strong Portuguese community in and around the city, well integrated and involved in communal life, the decision to pair Quint-Fonsegrives with the city of Leiria in Portugal made the decision. Since then, there have been many regular exchanges and meetings between representatives of municipalities and associations in the two cities. Also, it is now a tradition that once a year, a party is organized that brings together mostly Portuguese citizens from the Leiria region and their quintet friends. So, they were more than a hundred and fifty, gathered around a fine meal prepared by a local entrepreneur and among them, we can note the presence of Mayor Jean-Pierre Gas, and at his side his predecessor, Bernard Solera Emeritus Mayor, both. accompanied by their wives. After President dos Santos’ welcome words, the mayor wished everyone a good day. Before going to the table, all the participants praised the Portuguese anthem, followed by the Marseille, which the music school played in the country house. A very beautiful Franco/Portuguese day that everyone appreciates.
