Prime Video: This new sci-fi series has been canceled after only one season – News Series

Last May, Amazon launched an entirely new sci-fi series that’s even broadcasting…in space, but that wasn’t enough to get her in season two.

Prime Video decided: To the stars there will be no season 2. According to LimitWorn by Academy Award winners Sissy Spacek and JK Simmons, the poetic and poignant series has been critically acclaimed but not watched enough by the platform’s subscribers to justify its big budget for sci-fi scenes.

Because the show created by Holden Miller tells how, years ago, Franklin and Erin York discovered a buried waiting room in their garden leading to an alien desert planet. Since then, they have kept their secret carefully. When a mysterious young man enters his life, the quiet existence of the Yorks is turned upside down…

If Vers les étoiles does not go beyond its first season and therefore does not answer all the mysteries that it established during its eight episodes, especially about this famous planet, it will remain less in history for being the first series broadcast … in space!

Intergalactic preview

What Amazon revealed amid uproar in A communication last May:Prime Video, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), SES and Intelsat, has broadcast the first episode of Legendary Television’s sci-fi drama series into space, just in time for the series’ launch.

This is not only the furthest distance from Earth a series has been distributed to, but it also makes Prime Video the first streaming platform to distribute its content directly into space.

To illustrate this intergalactic preview:In theory, this makes broadcasting available to anyone able to receive satellite signals 384,000 kilometers from Earth and beyond, which is the equivalent distance between Earth and the Moon. Were the aliens able to profit from the series? The mystery remains!
