Monet/Rothko Dialogue at the Giverny Museum

This Friday, March 18, the long-awaited exhibition Monet/Rothko is open at the Musée des impressionnismes Giverny, until July 3. Rejected on chromatic themes, six works by Mark Rothko, as opposed to six by Claude Monet, will reach out to the Water Lilies pond in the village of Monet to delight the public, inviting them to think differently about abstraction and modernity. Isabel Ferreira at the Maubert Gallery

Opening of the personal exhibition of Isabel Ferreira entitled 9 days and a life, Saturday, March 19 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Galerie Maubert. In this new exhibition, she pays tribute to the Portuguese refugees in O Salto in the 1960s who were forced to leave their country to escape the Salazarian dictatorship, misery, and their colonial wars. Through a fragmented artistic journey, between painting and sculpture, between archeology and the autopsy of a region, Isabel Ferreira digs into the bowels of this landscape that men and women cross at the risk of their lives.

“I am writing to you in the flesh of words” Paris / Marseille

Two weeks in Paris and four weeks in Marseille, Michael Cerfati invites you to mark ten years of working and sharing with women to discover photos, books, videos and installations in order to feel all the emotions and the power of their words. The exhibition opening will take place on Friday, March 18 at the Hôtel de Suroy, rue Charlotte in Paris at 6:30 pm in the company of writer and journalist Brigitte Patent. The interview will follow readings of “Dialogues” by Marie Dariusek with “Flesh of Words” by Dominic Jornet Rammell and Lawrence Maslia.

Little Boy by Jan Polozzi at GMM

A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2003, and collaborator with Galerie Marguerite Milin since 2017, Yann Polozzi invites you to a documented study of the simple things that surround and surround us. The artist gives new meaning to everyday items like an archaeologist, he collects, examines and re-examines the aesthetics of these objects through meticulous work with ink and watercolor.
