At the UNFP Awards, Nuno Mendes won the Ligue 1 Best Hope title.
After being crowned French champion on Saturday, Nuno Mendes is entitled to a new bonus. He succeeds the Portuguese William Saliba and wins the UNFP Ligue 1 Best Hope Cup. The PSG full-back is ahead of Eliesse Ben Seghir (AS Monaco), Bradley Barcola (Olympique Lyonnais), Rayan Cherki (Olympique Lyonnais) and Elye Wahi (Montpellier). This season in Ligue 1, the 20-year-old has scored a goal and provided 5 assists in 23 matches (18 starts).
The Lusitanian wanted to show his joy when he received his title: “I am very happy to win this award. I was nominated last season but I couldn’t win it. I am also very happy to win the First Division and to be able to bring my room into the building. I think we deserve our title.”
