The Nissan Sentra Cup and NASCAR Benitez Series champions, respectively, Valerie Limoges and Marc Antoine Camrand were honored Thursday night at the Gilles Villeneuve Museum’s annual gala held at a downtown Montreal hotel.

Limoges were awarded the Gilles-Villeneuve Cup for the second time in three years. This recognition symbolizes fighting and excellent on the Quebec driver’s circuit.

Camirand is the winner of the Bertrand-Fabi Prize, awarded annually to a Quebec who has demonstrated himself most on the national or international scene. The driver from Saint-Léonard-d’Aston was already the receiver in 1999 and 2000.

These two trophies, started by the Auto Sport Québec organization in the early 1980s, rewarded well-known drivers of the past, including Alexandre Tagliani, Andrew Ranger, Richard Spinard and, in particular, Patrick Carpentier.

‘Proud of this honor’

Limoges succeeds Kevin King, who won the Nissan Sentra Cup last year.
