This week 10 participants Wash to win I had to deal with three types of stains that were very difficult to remove: tomato sauce, garlic butter, and red wine! But the real challenge? They only had 12 minutes to get there! However, the method is very simple!
1. Soak the item of clothing in warm, soapy water (not hot!).
2. Prepare a mixture of baking soda, vinegar, peroxide, and dish soap to form a paste.
3. Apply it to stains on clothes that have been soaked for a while and rub gently.
4. Rinse it with lukewarm water.
Judges' advice
- The first step that should not be skipped: soaking!
- Lemon can be essential when you want to remove stubborn stains.
- To remove grease, a good amount of dish soap will help.
- Be careful, the brush is not the right tool! Harsh bristles can damage fabric fibres.
- Do not hesitate to change the water if you see that it is starting to get dirty as well.
Good to know
Soda crystals have bleaching power. Also known as sodium percarbonate, soda crystals are a bit like “hormone-boosted” baking soda!
